Local groups and community members joined together to plant sixteen trees, half of which are gold medallions selected for their flowers that will bloom each spring in the Ballers’ signature gold.

This project kicked off a collaboration among local non-profits to improve air quality and mitigate urban heat island effects by bringing more trees to West Oakland. The ongoing efforts include Oakland Parks and Recreation Foundation, City of Oakland, Keep Oakland Beautiful, West Oakland Environmental Indicators Project, Friends of Raimondi Park, and others.
